When you get it right.

Sometimes you here from clients and realize that you are doing exactly what you set out to do for all of your clients.
This note was sent to us from a client who highlighted why we started Fit to you in the beginning.

"I first met William in a hockey rink, watching our kids on the ice, and we got to chatting.  I quickly learned that he had an approachable personality, great sense of humor and a willingness to share his expertise of cycling. He has a wealth of knowledge but a humble approach. Soon, I was scheduling a professional fitting with him for my road bike. I love to ride, but was suffering from a back injury and finding it unbearable.

At the fitting, we were hoping to solve some issues I was having with numbness in my hands and feet as well as pain in my back while cycling. He asked me to notice at what mileage these issues would develop. The fitting was a great experience, one where William used patience and a great attention to detail to try and improve my cycling experience by adjusting my bike to suit my needs.
However, this bike I had been sold years earlier, was not the right bike for me. William helped me to understand this, and was beyond helpful in my next endeavor, which was parting with my bike, and finding a new one. I was really overwhelmed by this process so I postponed it a while. Once I asked him for help again, he readily helped me sell my bike. The personal service and support was so appreciated because this was a big step for me and having a trusted professional to guide me through it felt like less of a risk.

He posted my bike for sale using language and specs I did not know, recommended which components to keep, and listed it at a price I could not have conceived of without his experience. He haggled, he negotiated, and he took my bike more than once to be viewed by prospective buyers. This was a huge relief and resulted in a sale at a great price.

Then, even better, he made suggestions for me to find the right bike and went so far as to call the shop I was in one day (on Memorial Day!) and guided the salesperson to the best bike for me based on his knowledge of the fit I needed ( Mindful of my back injury), the type of rider I am ( including my age, ex
perience and plans for the future)  and the price point I could live with. I bought the bike he suggested that day, and could not be happier.
William's guidance made an otherwise daunting experience a very happy one. I think I would still now be warily riding my old bike, cursing my back and never understanding that I was not riding the bike for me.
Next, I will see him to fit my new bike, and thank him one more time for helping me get back to a sport I love!"
