When you get it right.
Sometimes you here from clients and realize that you are doing exactly what you set out to do for all of your clients.
This note was sent to us from a client who highlighted why we started Fit to you in the beginning.
"I first met William in a hockey rink, watching our kids on the ice, and we got to chatting. I quickly learned that he had an approachable personality, great sense of humor and a willingness to share his expertise of cycling. He has a wealth of knowledge but a humble approach. Soon, I was scheduling a professional fitting with him for my road bike. I love to ride, but was suffering from a back injury and finding it unbearable.
At the fitting, we were hoping to solve some issues I was having with numbness in my hands and feet as well as pain in my back while cycling. He asked me to notice at what mileage these issues would develop. The fitting was a great experience, one where William used patience and a great attention to detail to try and improve my cycling experience by adjusting my bike to suit my needs.
However, this bike I had been sold years earlier, was not the right bike for me. William helped me to understand this, and was beyond helpful in my next endeavor, which was parting with my bike, and finding a new one. I was really overwhelmed by this process so I postponed it a while. Once I asked him for help again, he readily helped me sell my bike. The personal service and support was so appreciated because this was a big step for me and having a trusted professional to guide me through it felt like less of a risk.
He posted my bike for sale using language and specs I did not know, recommended which components to keep, and listed it at a price I could not have conceived of without his experience. He haggled, he negotiated, and he took my bike more than once to be viewed by prospective buyers. This was a huge relief and resulted in a sale at a great price.
Then, even better, he made suggestions for me to find the right bike and went so far as to call the shop I was in one day (on Memorial Day!) and guided the salesperson to the best bike for me based on his knowledge of the fit I needed ( Mindful of my back injury), the type of rider I am ( including my age, experience and plans for the future) and the price point I could live with. I bought the bike he suggested that day, and could not be happier.
William's guidance made an otherwise daunting experience a very happy one. I think I would still now be warily riding my old bike, cursing my back and never understanding that I was not riding the bike for me.
Next, I will see him to fit my new bike, and thank him one more time for helping me get back to a sport I love!"

Expanding our services.
This season we have had some clients ask for help with a new piece of the cycling experience.
Selling a bike.
This can be a fun time because you have decided to take your new passion for ridding to the next level. This happens in different ways for everyone. Some people find another type of cycling and want to explore it ( Mountain, Cyclocross or Tri) and buy another bike.
More often the case is you sell your current bike and buy a new bike.
This is where we have decided to take our knowledge and make the sale of your bike as simple and profitable as we can for you.
Let us list your bike and we will do the leg work and get your bike sold.
We will look your bike and what it's market value is.
We will market it first to our list of clients and friends. We always have someone looking for something
We will market your bike to it's strengths and target the copy to it's most probable buyer.
We will also set up meetings with potential buyers and work out the deal.
If you are ready to upgrade or you are just wanting to sell contact William
and find out more.

Get a grip
Preparing my bike for my first race of the season. I took a look and decided my bars were in need of some attention. This being one of your three contact points (Handle bars, seat and pedals/shoes) I always try and find a way to make it as comfortable as possible.
After receiving my cross bike with the bars wrapped with Lizard Skins DSP. I can find no reason to ride with anything else.
It is the perfect blend of soft and gripping.
It is a bit thicker but that makes it ease the vibration a bit.
Looks great on the bike. Has a bit of a gloss look to it that seems not to dull to much with use.
Bottom line it is my new tape of choice.
They have all the colors you need including pink.

So we have to send out props to Karen Smyers and her crew for another great race day for all the kids who took part in the Lincoln Kids Triathlon.
This is the third year that some of the youngest of the crew from Fit to you took part in the Splash, Mash and Dash.
This is a great race on all levels. The venue is perfect for the kids to do their thing while still being safe and having plenty of support and fans cheering them on. This is a perfect race to introduce your kid to the sport you enjoy.
See you next year.
